No let up during summer recess
Although Lodge Kirkliston Maitland is now in summer recess, there is plenty going on to focus our attention.
The most significant is our plan to build an internal storage area that will house our furniture and artefacts. All the plans have been submitted and, all being well, construction should begin in either June or July and the building should be ready for our first meeting in September.
This is a very exciting project for 482 and will make a huge difference when setting up and taking down the Temple and our thanks again to Kirkliston Bowling Club for all their help and cooperation.
Bob Duff Trophy
Another summer highlight of course is our annual bowling tournament v Kirkliston Bowling Club.
The Bob Duff Trophy takes place this year on Sunday 19th July and you can see full details on our poster. The tournament will again be made up of five rinks of triples and players are asked to be at the club no later than 1.30pm.
The trophy is named in memory of our I.P.M's Bro. Les Duff's Dad, who passed to the Grand Lodge Above in 2012. Bro. Bob Duff was a member of Lodge Buchan St. John 636 and an affiliate member of 482.
Our I.P.M. Bro. Les Duff is now looking for players and if you'd like to take part, please contact Bro. Les via his Facebook page.
As always, if you can't play please come along on the day and lend your support.
