Well, the summer recess is nearly over and the second half of the season kicks off with our AGM on Wednesday 2nd September. Please note this is for members only please.
We've already had our 'traditional' pre-season committee meeting when plans were made for the coming months including a fund-raising 'Stars In Your Eyes' night on Saturday 10th October and our Annual Dinner Dance on Friday 20th November.
Of course, one of the most exciting innovations is the construction of our new storage area which is now well underway and - weather permitting - we hope it will be ready for the start of September.
When completed, this will make a huge difference to the Lodge and its members. Access will be to the right of the 'East' so setting up and storing away our furniture will be faster and easier and will not be affected for inclement weather.
Two notable events from the summer recess was our success in raising over £800 at the Sir James McKay Open Day and congratulations again to Bro. Les Duff in raising £1005 in the 'Two Bridges Six Provinces Charity Cycle Run'.
We'll be posting more information in the not-too-distant future so please visit us again soon.
