On Tuesday 18th March 2025, Bro. Ray King P.M. was installed as the Grand Master of The Great Priory of Scotland in Freemasons Hall, Edinburgh.
Not only was this a great personal achievement for Bro. Ray but an honour for Lodge Kirkliston Maitland as for the first time in the Lodge’s history one of our members has become the Head of one of the six Scottish Masonic Orders.
In his new role, Bro. Ray will oversee over 60 Preceptories in Scotland, ranging from Wick to Dumfries and from Oban to Dunbar, with a further 50 Preceptories overseas ranging from the Bahamas and The Caribbean to South Africa and on to New South Wales, Tasmania and Queensland in Australia.
Bro. Ray is looking forward to a uniquely Scottish event in May when he will receive delegations from Great Priories across the globe to celebrate his enthronement as Grand Master.
We wish him well in his 5 years in office.
